PULSE — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 July 2026

PULSE ("the app") is developed by Serkan Cura ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.

In short: the app has no user accounts and we operate no servers of our own. Your progress is stored on your device. The app does, however, show advertising and offer an in-app purchase, and it can optionally submit your score to Apple's Game Center leaderboards — those are described in detail below.

Data stored on your device only

Your best score, top-10 local scores, collected stars, difficulty, language, sound and haptics settings, and your leaderboard choice are saved in the app's local storage on your device. This data is not transmitted to us, and it is removed when you delete the app.

Global leaderboard (Apple Game Center) — opt-in

The global leaderboard is switched off by default. Nothing about your play is submitted anywhere until you turn it on.

The first time you finish a run with a score, the app asks you once whether you want to take part in the global leaderboard. If you decline, no score is ever submitted. If you accept, the app submits:

to Apple Game Center, so that they can appear on the public leaderboards alongside your Game Center nickname. Your Game Center nickname is attached by Apple, not by us — the app itself only sends a number. This data goes to Apple, not to us; we run no leaderboard server and we do not receive a copy. Apple's handling of it is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

What leaves your device once — and only once — you have opted in. This list mirrors the App Privacy details shown on our App Store product page:

DataUsed forLinked to your identityUsed for tracking
Gameplay content — your score for the run and the achievements you have unlocked App functionality: showing you on Game Center's global leaderboards and recording achievements No No

We do not receive, store or analyse this data, and it is never used for advertising. Nothing else about your play is transmitted — not your local score history, not your stars, not your settings.

You can change your mind at any time: Settings → Global leaderboard inside the app turns submission on or off. The app is fully playable with the leaderboard off, and with Game Center sign-in declined.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows occasional full-screen ads between runs, and an optional rewarded ad you can choose to watch. Ads are served by Google AdMob.

The app requests non-personalized ads only. It does not ask for permission to track you, it does not present the App Tracking Transparency prompt, and it does not use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to target ads. Ads are not personalised on the basis of your activity in other apps or websites.

To deliver, display and measure those ads, and to prevent fraud and repeated ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects the following from the app. This list mirrors the App Privacy details shown on our App Store product page:

DataUsed forLinked to your identity
Device ID (an app- or developer-bounded identifier)Third-party advertising, analyticsYes
Advertising data (which ads were shown)Third-party advertising, analyticsYes
Product interaction (app launches, taps)Third-party advertising, analyticsYes
Coarse location (estimated from IP address)Third-party advertisingYes
Crash data, performance data, other diagnosticsAnalyticsNo

None of this data is used for tracking as Apple defines it: it is not linked with third-party data about you for targeted advertising or advertising measurement, and it is not shared with data brokers.

Google's use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy; see also How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

If you buy Remove Ads (below), the app stops requesting and showing ads altogether.

In-app purchase (Remove Ads)

The app offers one non-consumable purchase, Remove Ads. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never see or receive your payment details.

To remember that you own the purchase across reinstalls and devices, the app uses RevenueCat, which records your purchase history (what was bought and whether it is still valid) for that purpose only. This is used for app functionality, is not linked to your identity, and is not used for tracking or advertising. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

What we do not collect

The app has no accounts and no sign-up. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, health or fitness data, or any sensitive personal information. We operate no servers that receive your personal data.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app asks Google to limit ad content to a rating consistent with the app's App Store age rating.

Changes

We will update this policy whenever the app's data handling changes, and the date at the top will reflect the revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
